Description

This salaried position exists to extract, collect, review, monitor, analyze and report data from Jayco’s business systems in order to drive improvement following the processes and fulfilling the objectives of the Regulatory Compliance Department.  

Essential functions

  • Perform data analytics, including root cause analysis, over warranty and consumer complaint data.
  • Create and maintain incident tracking dashboards ensuring actions are documented and progressing in a manner that complies with our policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Write repair instructions and correspondence related to safety and non-compliance recalls, technical service bulletins, standard repairs, product improvements, and chassis advisory notices.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure the parts necessary for safety or compliance recalls and technical service bulletins are available.
  • Respond to returned and undeliverable mail to ensure notification to individuals and businesses impacted by recalls, bulletins, standard repairs, product improvements, and chassis advisory notices.
  • Share data with the Thor Compliance team using the compliance portal.

Additional functions

  • Assist regulatory Compliance Manager with data collection and analysis related to quareterly TREAD reports, recalls, and technical service bulletins.
  • Lead teams that identify, classify, and escalate incident notifications through the organization in order for corrective actions to be implemented.

Required Experience / Knowledge

  • Associates degree or higher in Data Science, Analytics or other business related field.
  • 3-5 years of data analytics experience.
  • 3-5 years of technical experience in the RV industry.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of all RV products and applicable safety standards to help drive positive and meaningful changes within the organization.        

Necessary Skills & Abilities

  • Requires proven proficiency and advanced working knowledge in all Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, AX or other ERP systems.  Working knowledge of Visio is necessary.
  • Demonstrated data analytics and statistical analysis skills, writing queries and reporting of data in efficient, meaningful reporting.
  • Working knowledge of problem solving techniques.
  • Manufacturing background preferred.
  • Knowledge of RV design and construction processes desired including RV codes and standards (RVIA/NFPA) and familiarity with Federal Regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) & TREAD reporting requirements and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships, internally & externally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong technical communication skills are required.
  • Ability to help solve complex problems through data analysis.
  • Ability to use good judgement in making decisions or recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in interactions with all organizational departments and functional teams.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Work Requirements

  • This position may require sitting, standing, and working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day.
  • Requires ability to travel between field locations occasionally.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds.
  • This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed). 
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Supervisory responsibilities:  none.
  • Remote work:  not available.
