Description
This position is a short term internship position providing clerical support to the Finance team. This position may fill in as needed on a multi-line switchboard covering the receptionist's breaks. All employees are expected to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision, interact professionally with all co-workers, suppliers or customers and be a contributor on all work assigned to gain real world knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities
This internship will allow the selected individual to expand their hands-on knowledge.
This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 90% of the day and occasionally, working in a hot, humid manufacturing environment.
This position is an 8 hour per day position starting at 8am.
Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support to the Finance team
- Process dealer rebates and sales spiffs for payment
- Voucher accounts payable invoices into the system
- Assist Credit team with processing finance approvals and cash application
- Observe month-end financial close process and assist with preparation of supporting schedules
- Attend quarterly inventory counts and assist with audits of quarter end inventory
This internship will allow the selected individual to expand their hands-on knowledge.
- Applicants should have completed at least their sophomore year of college majoring in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or similar by May 2021 and have at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Requires ability to learn & grow throughout the experience.
- Must be self-motivated & have a strong work ethic.
- Requires good communication & interpersonal skills - both oral and written.
- Requires organization skills & flexibility to handle multiple projects and priorities throughout the day.
- Background in manufacturing practices is desirable.
- Must have strong analytical & quantitative skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Calendaring, etc.) proficiency is required. Ability to work in Microsoft AX is desirable.
