Purpose: this position exists to interface between product engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing and manufacturing departments.

Essential Functions:

• Communicates design requirements for new features and floor plans to manufacturing and manufacturing support departments.
• Ensures units meet all specifications modifying and adjusting engineering documents as required.
• Makes recommendations for design changes to decrease costs and improve quality and ease of manufacture.
• Coordinates and distributes Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) verifying accuracy of ECN changes.
• Maintains and distributes print files and documentation for manufacturing.
• Communicates design requirements, investigates and resolves discrepancies, and makes improvements.
• Ensures awareness of Jayco standards and assists in ensuring compliance of standards.

Experience/ Knowledge:

• Related prior experience is required.
• Must understand all aspects of RV construction.
• Print reading skills are necessary.
• Manufacturing background preferred.
• Knowledge of multiple RV product lines is desirable.
• Basic understanding of codes and standards.

Necessary Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Proficient in MicroSoft Office software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.

Work Requirements:

• This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting up to 50% of the day.
• Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).
• Regular attendance is required.
