Purpose

Supports the creation, delivery, and maintenance of computers (desktops & laptops), network, and peripherals to ensure all Jayco computers are functional and running efficiently. 

Essential functions

• Assist in the coordination to repair and support all hardware/software across Jayco’s locations
• Support Helpdesk Technicians and provide 2^nd level of support for helpdesk requests
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Engages with other IT team members to insure issue resolution and support
• Verify the integrity and availability of shop floor production software and oversee hardware/software maintenance supporting manufacturing
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
• Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
• Manage and maintain the helpdesk ticketing system and knowledge base running Microsoft System Center
• Participate in planning and executing IT supported rollouts and upgrades of software and hardware
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience/ Knowledge

• 2-4 years of proven system and network administration experience
• Associates degree in technology related field which can be substituted by MCSA or other specialized training (A+, CompTIA)
• Windows Server 2012R2-Windows Server 2019, VMWare, and Cisco experience are all pluses (any combination)
• Experience supporting Microsoft OS and office products
• Experience utilizing Active Directory

Necessary Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of networking, PC management/configuration, LANs, printers, mobile devices and support of basic Microsoft Office software packages
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project management skills
• Critical thinking ability and strong problem-solving capacity

Work Requirements

• Driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Participate in off hours support rotation as required
