Jayco, Inc., headquartered in Elkhart County, is a subsidiary of Thor Industries, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, and a leading North American manufacturer of motorized and towable recreational vehicles under its Jayco brand, along with its Entegra Coach, Highland Ridge RV, and Starcraft RV operating divisions.  Our internal legal team works with all departments within the Jayco Family of Companies and across a range of issues, including governance, compliance, business dealings, consumer affairs and litigation, and intellectual property matters.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated paralegal to join our team and to support our corporate, consumer affairs, and litigation legal functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with nationwide litigation management and organization in consumer warranty cases, employment, IP, and other corporate matters.
• Working with in-house litigators on regional (Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio) litigation matters, including pleadings and discovery.
• Working with and assisting outside counsel on national consumer-related litigation (may also include attending mediations or arbitrations by video and/or in person).
• Assisting with the preparation and management of contracts, leases, supply and purchase agreements, licenses and other corporate registrations.
• Assisting with drafting responses to regulatory agencies and/or discovery requests.
• Management of invoices from outside counsel and service providers.
• Assisting with internal legal reporting.
• Assisting with other corporate, M&A, real estate, human resources, regulatory, litigation, and intellectual property matters as needed.
• Undertaking other duties reasonable and consistent with the position and as needed.

Qualifications:

• Four year degree and completion of paralegal program of study or demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skill.
• 2 or more years of experience as a paralegal or equivalent position;litigation experience preferred.

• Excellent time, task, and project management skills and the ability to perform complex tasks efficiently and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong professional writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders.
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Proficiency in Internet research skills and use of computerized business applications (including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel) and docketing systems (or equivalent docketing or task management systems).
• Ability to protect company and client confidentiality.
