This entry level hourly PT or FT position exists to optimize processes through the gathering of data on a wide array of metrics for a variety of projects throughout the business. 

Essential functions

• Collect data for value-stream mapping, time studies.
• Data entry to support Continuous Improvement team.
• Assist with Kaizen events and projects to support company goals and objectives.
• Embrace continuous improvement initiatives, cost reductions, quality and manufacturability improvements.

Experience/ Knowledge

• Prefer Engineering background in a manufacturing background.
• Prefer LEAN exposure

Necessary Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Prefer CAD or AutoDesk Inventor or similar software experience.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in interactions with all organizational departments and functional teams.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.               

Work Requirements

• This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 25% of the day and collecting data from a production environment approximately 75% of the day.
• Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations. 
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• This position can be either part-time or full-time, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).  Ideally, there would be flexibility to start as early as 5:30am as needed.  Candidates looking for part-time work would need to commit to 4 hours per day M-F during the morning to coincide with production schedules.
