Description
This position exists to optimize processes and involves a wide variety of projects throughout the corporation. The position is responsible for process design, equipment design, cell layouts, efficiencies, cost savings reports, methods measurement & improvement, work analysis, and purchase of equipment and fixturing in support of company operations.
Essential functions
- Provide support to assigned operational projects by:
- Measure and report progress, evaluates task performance, solve problems, develop/implement options to resolve project conflicts.
- Work with various stakeholders across the organization to gain a deep understanding of current state and identify opportunities, especially quick wins and high return on investment projects.
- Assess proposed and planned strategic initiatives and their impact on processes and the organization as a whole
Experience / Knowledge
- Related experience desired.
- RV industry experience is preferred.
- Desire and ability to thoroughly understand customer service policies, procedures and tools.
- Teaching, training, instructional design capability and customer service experience is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Necessary Skills & Abilities
- Function as a problem solver, innovator, designer, coordinator and system integrator.
- Contributes to organizational effectiveness and productivity by acting and communicating in a manner such that good relationships are maintained with co-workers, management, customers and others.
- Inventor, AutoCad, Excel, Word, Powerpoint skills are common programs used to accomplish tasks.
- Strong mechanical design skills and the ability to create equipment to meet the needs of Operations.
Work Requirements
- This position may require working in extremes in temperature & environment while performing moderately physical activity.
- Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions along with ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
- This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).
